New worksheets for KS1: aligned to White Rose Spring and Summer terms

Earlier this year, you might have seen our new worksheets that have been specially designed to support teaching of the KS1 Number topics in the White Rose schemes of learning.

We’re pleased to announce that we have recently released more worksheets to cover blocks from the Spring and Summer terms, in addition to the Autumn term worksheets already released.

For Year 1, there are 15 new worksheets covering the following blocks:

  • Place value (within 20)
  • Addition and subtraction (within 20)
  • Place value (within 50)
  • Multiplication and division
  • Fractions
  • Place value (within 100)

For Year 2, there are 8 new worksheets covering the following blocks:

  • Multiplication and division
  • Fractions
The image shows 5 groups of 10 apples and sentences for the pupil to complete: “There are 50 apples. They are shared into __ equal groups. There are __ apples in each group. __ ÷ __ = __”.

This page from a Year 2 worksheet covers the topic of writing a division number sentence to describe equal groups made by sharing.

You can find the new worksheets in the Booster packs area of the site; look for ‘WR’ in the booster pack title.

If you’re using the ‘National Curriculum (Eng)’ curriculum view, you can also find the worksheets in the Library under the section ‘Aligned to White Rose’.

Each page in the worksheets has been mapped to a small step from the White Rose v3.0 schemes of learning. The topic sequencing is designed to make the worksheets suitable for homework as well as end-of-block review, so you can use them in the way that suits you best.

The image shows a list of worksheet tasks in the ‘Aligned to White Rose’ section of the Library within the ‘National Curriculum (Eng)’ curriculum view. The task selected is “Multiplication and division worksheet 2A” and the task description shown is “Describing and adding equal groups, and writing repeated addition and multiplication number sentences to describe equal groups (steps 2-5 of this White Rose block).”

Each task description includes details of the granular topics and specific small steps covered by the worksheet.

We’d love to hear what you think of these new worksheets – if you have any feedback for us, please let us know at mail@mymaths.co.uk.
